Question on notifications

Was able to get a decent "starter" amount of bugs found, but confused on what happen next. Have a couple in "On Hold" and a few more in "Pending". My questions is how do notifications work? Do I wait for the site owner or do I follow up myself? No problem with waiting if that's the case. Just getting my ducks in a row so I know how to proceed.
